Japanese Back Tattoo Designs

The sad fact is that you will not find a tattoo parlor in the yellow pages who can make such incredible artwork. This tattoo requires a Japanese artist, but anyway a trip to Japan might be worth the trouble.
There is another catch. This is not the sort of tattoo to show off to your friends. Japanese are way more subtle than this. They are supposed to be shown only to your girlfriend or boyfriend, or occasionally to the local Yakuza mob. Yep you are reading right, this is what subtlety is in Japan, I have heard that they are still working on it. Nobody gets it right in the first place you know? Also these tattoos will hurt… a lot, because they are still doing the whole damn thing manually, so for every dot of the tattoo expect a needle expertly inserted in your skin, that if you’re lucky of course and through the expert hand there isn’t some sake flowing.

Chinese Tattoo
The art of tattooing in China actually dates back much farther then its in the West. Until very late in the 20th century and mainly in the early 21st century, tattooing becomes fashion in the West. The art of tattooing has a long history in Asian including China, Japan, and even Thailand. What are ironic about these are Chinese tattoos were mostly used in many of the Asian cultures to mark criminals and other social deviants. However in Asia since tattooing was done in criminals and social deviants most designs were very large and often full body pieces especially in Japan. These often are very expensive designs and time consuming and also led many western tattoo enthusiasts to opt for Chinese tattoos.

Even if these flowers are mostly associated with Japan, they are also a part of China’s culture as well but represent an entirely different meaning as how it is traditionally observed in Japan. It would be therefore interesting to know as what cherry blossom tattoo symbolizes in relation to how the flower is celebrated in these two countries. The blossoming of these flowers marks the coming of spring in Japan and paves the way for hanami or cherry blossom viewing. This event is observed with blithe and exuberance – people gather under the trees while enjoying the intensity and beauty of the blossoming flowers that last only for days. Thus, cherry blossom is a symbol that is associated with the life of samurai warriors of old Japan which could end violently at any time just as cherry blossom would shed its petals after a fleeting moment. It is a felicitous symbol and a poignant reminder of the fragility and transitory of life. The flowing petals of cherry blossom represent the sacrifice that these warriors have to go through to defend their emperors. How to Make A Tattoo

In the case of other techniques, the skin is divided up into areas by a series of preliminary cuts. These areas are then filled with figures such as lizards or simple forms such as diamonds, circles and stars. Another, less precise technique involves the drawing of lines and curves with a sharp stone. This technique, which permits complex tattoos with long rows of dots, spirals or other forms, was used by the peoples of Europe in ancient times and is still employed today by the North American Indians. The technique does not, however, employ black or shaded areas of a larger size. It is, of course, a very good technique the tattooing of writing, with which we are familiar all over Indochina. There people use the so-called chisel with one hand and hammers on its handle in quick succession with a type of mallet held in the other hand. The points are thereby driven through the skin, which is drawn tight by assistants.
Another sophisticated manual technique is the Japanese method. In the case of the so-called bokashi technique, twenty-seven needles are capable of creating the most beautiful shades of grey in the world, going from black to 9 colorless in one smooth transition. Since the invention of the electric tattooing machine, however, the Japanese manual technique is now used only by experienced prison tattoo artists.
